Ubisoft’s description reads:
Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, The Settlers returns as a reboot inspired by two of the most popular games in the series, The Settlers 3 and The Settlers 4. Players can expect a revaated look at the new The Settlers, built from scratch using Ubisoft’s proprietary Snowdrop Engine game engine, because The Settlers raises the visual bar for the RTS game genre. Both old and new players will experience lush and colorful environmental bioms as well as modernized gamery. Players can enjoy The Settlers in three different game modes: single-player story, Onslaught and Skirmish (solo against AI, co-op against AI, or PvP for up to eight players).
In The Settlers, the people of Elari (one of the groups in the game) are forced to flee their homeland and settle in new, unknown territory. Embark on an adventure where these migrants will face different challenges on their journeys with other locals. The Settlers have a total of three playable groups, each with a unique look, gameplay, and related background story.
