Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot spoke about acquisitions in the gaming industry in an earnings interview with investors. He mentioned that there has been a lot of talk in recent years about the purchase of Ubisoft.
Guillemot explained: “There has been a lot of talk in the gaming industry, and especially within Ubisoft about the acquisition. Our overall position is well known. As we said last February, we have everything we need to remain independent. We have the capability to create tremendous values in the coming years, an industrial and financial scale, as well as large and powerful IPs.
This strong stance has enabled us to form many partnerships in the entertainment and technology sector. As we mentioned earlier, as a publicly traded company, we will review any offer that is in the best interest of our teams.”
