Ubisoft’s presentation of the NFT to players took place with Quartz in December 2021. With this announced platform, it was first announced that unique NFT will be added to Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Following the announcement, the Quartz platform became the focus of negative reactions.
Didier Genevois, director of blockchain at Ubisoft, said of the future of NFT: “We have received a lot of positive and negative feedback about adding NFT. However, we are positive about this situation. As a company, we plan to add NFT to our games and discover more.”
Also last January, a Ubisoft executive indicated that the company would continue with its NFT plans and that players did not understand this system.
Ubisoft, on the other hand, recently announced that Ghost Recon Breakpoint will no longer be updated.
