Far Cry 6 finally got a release date after delays; Along with the gameplay video shared the other day, we also learned that it will come in October. After that, shares about the game were accelerated.
This time the sharing is about the extent to which the story of the game is political. We know that Yara, the island nation where the game will pass, was inspired by Cuba. Navid Khavari, the game’s script director, said in an interview last year that Cuba was not only an inspiration, but that the developer team spent a month there doing research.
As a result, it was curious how the Cuban issue would be handled. Khavari said last week that the game had no interest in addressing political issues. But now that they’ve changed their minds again, they saythe game is political .
Khavari; “Our story is as a story about a political, modern revolution should be. Far Cry 6 covers many issues such as the drift of a nation into fascism, the price of imperialism, forced labor, the necessity of free and fair elections, LGBTQ+ rights.” Khavari; explained that they were not only inspired by Cuba, but also benefited from revolutionary experiences in different parts of the world on different dates; therefore, it is possible to say that the game should not be treated as a game about Cuba alone.
Far Cry 6 will debut on October 7 if there are no mishaps at this point. We will see together how political the game is, what issues it addresses.
