Ubisoft would normally hold its own event in the summer, often in June at the same time as E3, informing players about their new games. However, this year the situation has changed, with Ubisoft revealing to its spokesperson that they are not planning any events in June, with no plans to do so until later in the year.
There was no such thing as “we will hold our event at the end of the year” in the statement, all they said was that there is no plan for an event at the moment.
Ubisoft held its first fully digital event, Ubisoft Forward, in July 2020, just after the cancellation of E3. Ubisoft’s new event format was a huge success, reaching much higher views than previous E3 conferences.
Ubisoft then organized Ubisoft Forward in September of the same year and in June 2021.
This year E3 has been cancelled entirely, replaced by Summer Game Fest 2022. At this event, more than 30 developers and publishers will introduce their latest games and update on the projects they are working on.
