David Polfeldt, managing director of Massive Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ubisoft, is leaving the company. Polfeldt has previously indicated that he plans to take a long break. But now he’s quitting the team altoge way.
Polfeldt was leading The Division and Ubisoft’s new Star Wars game, as well as avatars under development. He worked at Massive for 17 years and served as general manager in 12 of them.
Polfeldt explained about the breakup: “I think my philosophy and skills work well for a community of a certain size. But at this point in the studio, I don’t think I’m the right manager. I stand by that thought.”
