Bruce Straley, director of Uncharted 2: Between Thieves, The Last of Us and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, who left Naughty Dog in September 2017, announced the formation of his new game studio Wildflower Interactive.
In the studio’s announcement video, Straley said: “I left the industry in 2017. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to make games anymore. Although I stayed away, I continued to think about this medium and the things that could be done. These thoughts were constantly on my mind. I opened these thoughts to some of my friends and we started to gather around an idea. We continued to move forward as new ideas were introduced. During this process, I started to get excited again and realized that I needed to make a new game. I had to gather my friends and start a company, and that was what happened.
I am excited to announce our new company, Wildflower Interactive. We also have a partner who supports the projects we do and helps us reach the widest possible audience. We also have a great team. We need more wonderful people. That’s why our recruitment continues.”
