Sony is preparing to bring all game brands, large and small, to the big screen or television in some way. Two big names, Uncharted and Last of Us, will be the leaders. Although its success is particularly dubious on behalf of Uncharted, we have a fairly large pool as a PlayStation game. Jak and Daxter, one of the popular games of the PS2 era, are also preparing to reintroduce themselves. Ruben Fleischer, who also directed Uncharted, will adapt another game brand.
During the promotion of his new film, he said, “As a matter of fact, I’m working on a Jak and Daxter version. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to bring it to life.” and officially announced that Jak and Daxter would return to screens. In fact, sony had a plan to animatedly adapt brands such as Sony Ratchet & Clank around 2013. It’s hard to predict how long this plan will be in place.
Tom Holland recently announced his desire to star in Jak and Daxter. Probably because he knew director Ruben Fleischer was preparing such a project, Holland took the pod out of his mouth early again. For Tom, who has been with Sony for a long time, perhaps the next role may be a voiceover. For the moment, we don’t know if the Jak and Daxter adaptation will be a series or a movie.
