The new Valorant KOPYA modewill force all players on the same team to play as a single agent.
Los Angeles/California-based Developer Riot Games, famous for League of Legends, announced Valorant’s new game mode. The new mode, called DUP, contains most rules in the game’s basic structure; But there is a big restriction: everyone on a team plays as the same agent. COPY mode is expected to be released on May 11, or today, when the 2.09 patch is expected.

Players will not be given a random agent. Selecting an agent will be a democratic process, and each team will vote for the agent they want to play with before the COPY starts. The agent with the most votes will be considered the choice. There will be a few more changes that come with the new game mode: everything except ulti will be renewed in each new round, and players will receive a fixed number of credits.
Riot Games has endeavoured to move with the goal of offering more comfortable game modes when designing Valorant KOPYA mode. Game designer Kyle Powell echoed that sentiment in a press release, adding that it’s all about “expanding the player’s imagination.” He added: “With KOPYA, we aim to create exciting new moments by expanding the field of player theory creation while highlighting agent capabilities. By innovating for agents balanced around normal agent restrictions, we’ve created many “near-gamer” obstacles for players to explore.”
Valorant KOPYA game mode is said to be temporarily added to the game. It is aimed to remain active for two weeks before being included in the current rotation and to resolve problems/errors quickly, if any. It is not yet clear whether the new Valorant mode will be a permanent part of multiplayer.
In a recent Valorant report, Riot Games announced plans to record in-game voice chat in all of its games to combat toxic behavior. Valorant, like League of Legends, hosts highly toxic players on many of its servers. The new privacy policy on Valorant voice chat recording allows Riot Games to do the same for League of Legends if it wants to.
