Valve News Network’s Tylver McVicker reports in a new video that a sequel to Half-Life 2: Episode Two is currently not in development.
McVicker said: “There are currently no teams working on anything other than a few pieces of software specifically designed for hardware. Valve is currently trying to remove the Steam Deck console.
McVicker reports that a separate project called Citadel is being worked on instead of Half-Life 3. According to the stated, Citadel’s gameplay will be suitable for steam deck. This means that the game will be released entirely in accordance with the Steam Deck with its controls and mechanics. In short, Valve is working on this production to best demonstrate what the Steam Deck can do.”
Steam Deck is described as a powerful portable PC that can run even the latest AAA games. Steam Deck will have Linux-based SteamOS software, allowing players to access Steam game libraries and all features of the platform.
