Valve reviewed the entire Steam catalog one by one ahead of the Steam Deck, which will be released in December, and began categorizing games based on their compatibility. When we say “whole Steam catalog”, we do not exaggerate, all games in the catalog, from AAA games to the smallest games, will be evaluated.
Each game reviewed will be placed in a category based on its compatibility with steam deck;
The categories are as follows:
Confirmed: The game works perfectly on the Steam Deck without doing anything.
Playable: The user may need to make some settings for the game to be playable.
Not supported: The game currently doesn’t work on the Steam Deck.
Unknown: We haven’t checked the compatibility of this game yet.
In order to have the Approved badge on deck, the game must meet the following criteria:
Input – The game must have full controller support, use the correct controller input icons and automatically remove the on-screen keyboard when necessary.
Screen – The game must support the default resolution of the Steam Deck (1280×800 or 1280×720). The default settings must be smooth and the text it contains should be legible.
Smoothness – The game should not show any incompatibility warnings and if there is a initiator, the initiator should be able to navigate with the controller.
System Support – If it works through Proton, all the game and all the game’s intermediate software must be powered by Proton. That includes anti-cheating support.
Steam Deck will be shipped to the United States, Canada, the European Union and the United Kingdom for now only in December 2021. In 2022, the number of regions will increase and turkey will most likely be added to the list.
