There’s been a serious curse on the name Vampire: The Masquerade lately. We all know what happened to Bloodlines 2, the game is still being developed despite the postponements, but we don’t even know which studio it was developed by and when it will be released. A similar problem occurred to Swansong, another Vampire: The Masquerade game, which was announced to be postponed until May 19, 2022.
Normally, the game’s release date was announced as February, but a joint statement by the game’s publisher Nacon and its developer, Big Bad Wolf Studio, said such a decision was necessary for the developer team to maintain a healthy work-social life balance. It’s a good thing they’re not going to crunch, and I think it should be at the forefront of developing a quality game without pushing the staff too hard. That’s why the firms’ decision is perfectly appropriate.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will be released for PC (Epic Games Store), Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
