Development and creative services firm Virtuos has acquired art production studio Volmi Games for an undisclosed sum.
The Ukrainian company employs 140 people and specializes in providing 2D and 3D art services to the gaming industry. Diablo 2: Resurrected contributed to games such as Metro Exodus, Paladins and more.
Following the acquisition, Volmi will be rebranded as Volmi – A Virtuos Studio. In the future, Volmi’s co-founders Vladmir Loban and Miroslav Baraneko will lead the company as managing director and chief operating officer, respectively.
In September 2021, Virtuos received a $150 million investment to support growth. With this investment, it focused on more acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
