Operating with the vision of leading the digitalization of Turkey, Vodafone continues to increase its presence in the esports and gaming market, which it stepped into 5 years ago with its youth brand Vodafone FreeZone.
Vodafone signed a new sponsorship as part of a strategic partnership last year with InGame Group, the developer of Zula, Turkey’s first 100 percent domestic construction game. Accordingly, all Zula players can participate for free in the Vodafone FreeZone Award-Winning Tournament System (ÖTS) Series, which starts in early September and runs until mid-October. A total of 8 tournaments will be held in the series, with teams of 5 each. The top 20 teams will be awarded each tournament. In addition, anyone who completes 3 matches will receive a FreeZone ÖTS Vault. A total of TL 80,000 worth of prizes will be distributed in vodafone freezone ÖTS Series.
The first 2 matches will be played on 4-5 September in the Vodafone FreeZone Award-Winning Tournament System (ÖTS) Series, with the other matches being played on 18-19 September, 2-3 October and 16-17 October.
Stating that they are one of the biggest supporters of the development in gaming and esports, Vodafone Turkey Marketing Director Selen Ertem said:
“We have invested approximately TL 31 million in the esports market that we stepped into 5 years ago with our Vodafone FreeZone brand. We aim to double this investment in the next 5 years. With both our Gamer additional packages and our FreeZone Gaming portfolio, we provide young people with the chance to win gifts from the gaming world every month, as well as apps that don’t eat online. With our gaming portfolio, we have reached over 1 million users since 2018. We are constantly increasing our presence in the gaming world. Last year, we launched a comprehensive partnership in the gaming world with InGame Group, the developer of Zula, Turkey’s first 100 percent domestic production game. This year, we have signed a new sponsorship within this framework. Together with InGame Group, we are organizing the Vodafone FreeZone Award-Winning Tournament System Series. In the tournaments, where all Zula players can participate for free, young people will have the opportunity to win beautiful prizes from each other. We invite our play-loving young people to experience this excitement.”
