Mobile publisher Voodoo has acquired Israel-based development team Beach Bum for an undisclosed price.
The studio was founded in 2015. Backgammon is launching mobile adaptations of traditional card and board games, including Spades. Last year, it generated about $70 million in revenue.
“Shachar, Keren and Gili have become leaders in their categories and have assembled a strong, very high-performance team,” said Alexandre Yazdi, CEO and co-founder of Voodoo.
Gigi Levy-Weiss, Co-Founder and Active Chairman of Beach Bum, added: “I am very proud of the Founders and team of Beach Bum. This agreement is the result of both great talent and hard work. I believe the combination of Voodoo and Beach Bum has created a superpower in the gaming world.”
