From the end of 2021, there was a lot of interest in cinemas again. Finally, with The Batman’s opening box office, studios and theaters raised their hopes. This has also led to large distributors reshaping their plans. Several Warner Bros. films, including Black Man, The Flash and Shazam 2, have been remastered. The Warner Brothers’ post-change vision calendar is as follows:
- Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom – postponed from December 16, 2022; march 17, 2023.
- The Flash – postponed from November 4, 2022; june 23, 2023.
- Black Man – Postponed from July 29, 2022; until October 21, 2022.
- DC League of Super-Pets – Postponed from May 20, 2022; to July 29, 2022.
- Shazam! Fury of the Gods – from July 2, 2023; to December 12, 2022.
- Wonka – Postponed from March 17, 2023; to December 15, 2023.
- Meg 2: The Trench – Official release date: August 4, 2023
When we look at all these date changes, we see that there is only a pull forward for Shazam 2. The Flash, which we expect to save DCEU this year, will have to wait more than a year. After these postponements, some slots vacated may be made by different Warner Brothers films. I wonder if movies like Blue Beetle and Batgirl , planned for HBO Max, will settle into these vacant dates as theaters begin to rise again.
Dc officials said they wanted to bring the film to the Christmas period and offer a feast to families and viewers of all ages, citing problems caused by the Covid process in general. In the end, the DC movies we longed for with The Batman were again gone as an exception. Time will tell if the next DC film, Shazam 2, can continue the box office success batman has launched.
