Ricochet, the exclusive Call of Duty: Warzone anti-cheat software announced by Activision yesterday, is rumoured to have already fallen into the hands of cheaters. Activision yesterday announced its new Call of Duty anti-hlle software, claiming it has a powerful weapon against cheaters. On the same day, however, theAnti-Cheat Police Department, which “gathered information to identify and block cheat sellers,” claimed ricochet was leaked on the same day.
Warzone anti-cheating software may have been leaked
The Anti-Cheat Police Department wrote:
” P2C (pay to cheat, cheats sold for money) software developers have already started reverse coding Ricochet.”
He claimed to have circulated evidence of “source code going hand-in-hand” on the Call of Duty fan site Modern Warzone. But with all these leak allegations circulating, Activision doesn’t seem too alarmed.
Activision said Ricochet is in the process of controlled testing, which has sent a preliminary version of the software to certain people. However, it is stated that this, that the anti-cheating software was made public in some way, may have allowed the source code to somehow fall into the hands of cheaters.
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s “tricks,” scheduled for release on November 5, have already been claimed to have been sold in packages. Time will tell how effective Ricochet will be with Vanguard and then warzone. However, activison may still have a headache when it comes to COD if warzone anti-cheating software has actually leaked out.
