We were expecting Weird West, which is also a guest in ourIndie column today, to actually be released in January 2022. But the game’s publisher, Devolver Digital, announced that some errors were encountered during ongoing beta testing and that they needed a little more time to fix them, and that the game’s new release date was March 31.
“Weird West is an amazing game (according to beta testers) but some weird parts also need to be sorted out (according to beta testers),” Devolver said, adding that WolEyeGames has developed a special game and wants players to have the best experience with the release.
Raphaël Colantonio, who founded Arkane Studios in 1999; and wolfeye studios, the new studio, said the problems were “immersive and sim” he says it’s due to the complexity of his kind. “We know how awesome these types of games can be when it all comes together. Each player has their own experience and there are a lot of things that can happen. Some of them are great, but some may not be so great,” Colantonio said, adding that he was pleased with the postponement.
Weird West will be available for PC, Xbox One and PS4 and will be available on Game Pass from day one.
