Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi , one of the most beloved characters in the universe, will finally appear again in his own series. After the first trailer for the series was released, the excitement was especially high with the music. There are also rumours of a potential second season of the show, which will consist of just six episodes, but nothing is certain at the moment. Anyway, the process of the emergence of this project as a series became clear after some strange decisions. Under normal circumstances, Disney wanted to make a side film called Kenobi, and after the box office failure of the HanSolo film, it set the course as a series. This change almost completely changed the script.
Darth Maul in Episode 1; Ray Park, which is alive, will normally take part in the Kenobi project. However, during the transition from film to series, the influence of The Mandalorian was removed from the project by Darth Maul and replaced by Darth Vader; caused it to be placed. The biggest reason for this was that in the Mandalorian script, an almost carbon copy of the Story of Din Djarin and Baby Yoda would be set between the young Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan. So according to reports, in the original draft, Maul will come hunting Luke and we’ll watch Obi-Wan protect his Skywalker legacy. Several other sources also say Maul has not been part of Disney’s plans for a very long time.

When you tell a very similar story in The Mandalorian, the process for Kenobi may have progressed much differently. Of course, these possibilities are now theories, because the Lucasfilm front is unlikely to approve such major changes. But especially after Clone Wars , when Kenobi vs Maul has become a whole new thrill spot, it’s a little sad if it’s not really on the show for that reason. Still, it feels indescribable that his replacement is the glorious Darth Vader, and that years later, Anakin vs Obi-Wan will be watching. Our faith in Obi-Wan Kenobi, which begins broadcasting on May 25 on the 45th anniversary of A New Hope, is as strong as ever. He’s our last hope anyway.
