Bethesda made a surprise announcement earlier this year, announcing that a brand new Indiana Jones game is being developed by MachineGames. Todd Howard was in charge of the game, which will be developed in collaboration with Bethesda and Lucasfilm Games.
In the small teaser video, the passport was marked Bethesda, machine games on typewriter and Lucasfilm Games on camera attracted our attention. In the footage we watched with the first notes of John Williams’ famous Indiana Jones theme music, we saw Indy’s famous hat and the famous whip that came out from underneath.
When E3 didn’t give any information about this game, it was also curious how he was doing, and the answer came from Pete Hines.
Pete Hines calls Indiana Jones “in the very, very, very early stages of development.” Which means we won’t see the game for much longer, maybe even years before it comes out. Considering the Bethesda and Lucasfilm deal was done earlier this year, a two- to three-year estimate wouldn’t be misleading.
