With the Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch, some of the problems that players have been experiencing for a long time are solved. CD Projekt RED showed the contents of the next update by comparing the old and new versions of the game with many videos released today. In addition to some features added on top of the previously released update 1.12, solutions are also being introduced to some of the game’s essential issues. Let’s take a closer look at everything that’s going to come with this patch.
Features that come with cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch
CD Projekt RED brings a face from within the game to our screens with its blog post. New details from N52 News, a news agency, are promising.
Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch changes
- Fixed a police transport problem
- New settings for the car driving experience
- Ability to shake and flip vehicles
- Key assignment edits
The cops won’t be beaming right behind you anymore.
The first of the changes was that the cops in the game were beaming directly behind us at the time of the crime. It was a frustrating problem that really disrupted the flow of the game. With the Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch, something has been changed about it, although it’s not exactly the solution we’re looking for. The cops are going to be born a little further away, not in our mouths, so to speak. Police are now set to arrive at the scene “to give the other side enough space to breathe.” As you can see in the video, first a reconnaissance drone, then teams arrive. It’s noticeable that they came quite slowly compared to before.
Patryk, Chief Gameplay Designer at CD Projekt RED, and Lukasz, Technical Design Coordinator, explain:
“This is an important step in addressing the behavior of the police in our game. It should reduce the problem of NPCs that appear just behind the players and create the impression that it took some time for the police to arrive at the scene after the crime was reported. We have added a ‘reconnaissance drone’ unit to create the feeling that the police are assessing the situation.”
Detailed settings screen for vehicle driving mechanics
With the Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch, you’re less likely to be a killer while driving. With the elaboration of the Settings menu, you will now be able to change things. You will be able to make controller adjustments such as steering sensitivity, dead zone. In this way, the game experience will improve somewhat. As you can see in the video, the difference between the old version and update 1.2 is noticeable. With the new patch, a smoother driving experience will welcome players.
The CDPR Senior Vehicle Programmer also mentioned the complaints of players playing at low frame rate, especially with the keyboard. Now the driving accuracy can be adjusted, and whether you play with 20 FPS or 60 FPS with optimization, the steering speed won’t make much difference. In this way, you will not lose control of the vehicle even if your frame rate suddenly decreases.
In addition, another innovation in cars prevents us from leaving cars that no longer touch the ground. They say, “Just because things got out of hand, the days of leaving a car in the middle of the city are over.” With the Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch, cars stuck, as you can see in the video below, can now be recovered.
Good news if you fell off a balcony and died trying to escape the attacks!
Now a dodge move by double-clicking a gesture key can be turned off from the settings in the “Controls” section. Of course, you can still use dodge mechanics. To do this, just press the squat key (default C) twice. You can also move your WASD combination anywhere on the keyboard. Although it is not very clear what I am talking about, you can find an example in the video below.
Here are the innovations that await us in the game with cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch. CD Projekt red says that the patch notes are not limited to these, and that they will announce more in the coming days. You can also state your opinions in the comments section.
