We’ve put a very, very difficult year behind us as humanity. Although we entered 2021 hopeful with the acceleration of the vaccination process, the number of remarkable games released in the first half of the year fell short of what we expected. As we enter standby mode after a lively E3, the comfort of summer has also collapsed into the gaming world. But July will still be very active. Let’s take a look at the games we can’t get enough of this month.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin (PC, Switch) – July 9
The monster hunter series’ new game is on its way to delight Nintendo enthusiasts. The Monster Hunter series, which previously chose a platform, made its name with Western players by debuting simultaneously on many platforms with World. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will return the series to its roots and Nintendo.
In 2016, we will take on the role of Monster Rider in monster hunter stories, which debuted on Nintendo 3DS in Japan. Unlike the Monster Hunters, which the series is named after, riders work to train and tame these monsters. So in the game we go a little out of the traditional Monster Hunter series. Anyway, the fact that the game is turn-based is one of the most important of these changes.
The game is sure to be one of the most important games on the Nintendo Switch. I’m looking forward to Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, which I personally liken to a Pokemon game.
F1 2021 (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S) – July 16

While there’s a lot I can say about F1 2021, I’m going to have to rein myself in a little bit at this point. I’ve been buying this series since the first day it came out in years. The Codemasters team has resurrected the game from the ashes, especially in recent years, making it spectacularly polished. The game, which is re-released every year like Fifa and the NBA, was not bothered, at least by its price.
But everything changed with the arrival of EA. EA added codemasters to its ranks and almost doubled the price of the game. Still doesn’t change the fact that the game appeals to F1 fans. The F1 game, which you can fine-tune much more in the next generation, will also have a scenario mode called Breaking Point. Although we do not know the details of this mode for now, it will be a pleasure to watch the pilot’s career rise from scratch.
The game, which Codemasters polishes and perfects in every sense, will also host F1’s renewed rules.
Cris Tales (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Stadia) – July 20

Cris Tales is one of the most notable games in terms of design in July. The game will debut simultaneously on many platforms and will attract attention with its turn-based fighting system and puzzle-filled platform elements.
In the 8-minute gameplay video, the producer Modus Games gives us a general idea of the structure of the game, and cris tales underlines that behind it lies a sad story. Growing up an orphan, Crisbell’s adventures will be a guest, and we’ll travel back to the past of our character, described as “Time Mage.” The producer’s statements say that “many decisions” made by Crisbell will affect the course of the game.
My favorite companion system in this type of game seems to be cris tales; With text-based storytelling and “open world,” Cris Tales is coming to be one of jrpg lovers’ favorites.
Orcs Must Die 3 (PC, PS4, PS5,Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S) – July 23

The Orcs Must Die series, which has not lost its rhythm for years, is here with its new game. In fact, the “tower defense” game that Stadia users have been able to play for some time is finally debuting on PCs and consoles.
If you’ve never played Orcs Must Die before, you’re lucky because there are fun moments waiting for them to experience the game for the first time. One of Steam’s most notable co-op games, Orcs Must Die, is actually based on basic tower defense logic. But the third game in the series, which developed this logic and made it its signature, also received passing marks from both players and critics.
Orcs Must Die 3, which doesn’t change the formula but always increases the dose of fun, promises you and your friends a great afternoon.
The Ascent (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X) – July 29

One of the notable examples of the “co-op” genre that has ravaged E3, The Ascent will welcome us in the last days of July. The isometric RYO, which will be added to the Xbox Game Pass library on its first day, is one of the most curious games of the month.
The subject of the game, which uses the recent star “cyberpunk” theme, is also quite suitable for this universe. After the collapse of the mega-conglomerate The Ascent, the gangs go to war to take a piece of this huge conglomerate. A city called Veles is thus plunged into total chaos. So we take on the role of a worker at The Ascent who faces this chaos on the way to work on an ordinary day.
The Ascent, where you can play both as a co-op and as a single player, also stands out with its world design. Attacks that we can shape according to different types of enemies will give the RYO feeling to the very bottom. In addition, there will be plenty of loot options in the game.
