The Warner Bros Montreal studio’s agenda is very complicated right now. The producer of Arkham Origins is currently working on the Gotham Knights. But the allegations were that the team would turn their eyes to Superman after this game. It seems these allegations will be “unfounded.”
The reason for this new claim is the job ads the studio has opened. None of these job ads are for the Gotham Knights. One of them even says “open world action game to use the third-person camera”. While this supports the Superman claims, another job ad noted a “brand new IP.”
A brand new IP means that the second game we expect from WB Montreal doesn’t belong in a familiar series like Superman.
What’s even more interesting is that WB Montreal has previously announced that it is working on two DC Comics plays. Now we know one of them is Gotham Knight. So in this case, it looks like there’s two DC games and one extra game. We’ll see what comes out of the open-world action game.
