Developer Torn Banner Studios has also given an open beta date for its new game, which it developed with the momentum gained from the first game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. The Chivalry 2 open beta will start on May 27, and we know a lot about what players should expect. Come on, this will start on all platforms and what can we expect from the beta version that will support cross-game? Let’s look at it together.
Chivalry 2 open beta starts may 27
In a blog post, the developer gave the dates for the Chivalry 2 open beta as follows: The beta process, which starts at 18:00 GMT on 27 May, will continue until 1 June at 18:00 GMT. The open beta, which will start on all platforms where the game will be released, will also support cross-play across all these platforms. It will also be available for free on the PC platform (via the Epic Games Store) and is scheduled to be pre-installed the day before on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. However, let’s underline that you must have pre-ordered the game to participate in beta on consoles.
(Unfortunately, it is not possible to watch it on the site because the published video has an age restriction, but you can also access the video they posted by clicking here.)
This beta version of Chivalry 2, the last game test you can participate in before the release date of June 8, 2021, will allow you to try out a lot of content. “There are many new content to experience and explore in the upcoming Cross-Play open beta program, including a series of new maps, features, and updates based on player notifications from the closed beta process,” the developer wrote in a blog post.
These include team target maps such as The Slaughter of Coxwell, The Battle of Darkforest, The Siege of Rudhelm, as well as many maps for different game modes. Tournament Grounds, The Battle of Wardenglade maps for TDM (Team Death Match) mode will also be available to players.
We also know that the game allows for quite crowded battles. Therefore, players will be able to choose to join 64 or 40 player servers. Maps that refer to Game of Thrones, such as “The Battle of Bastards,” will also be able to take part in battles that require more strategy and teamwork. Let’s remember that the Chivalry 2 open beta, which will be released for free on the PC platform on 27 May, will be playable until 1 June at 18:00 BST. From consoles, you must have pre-ordered.
