As you know, Activision has been in trouble with harassment accusations for some time. In fact, one of our editors,Gülhis Canpolat, had compiled this for you in a wonderfully detailed story. The tremors of this earthquake have also spread to the new Call of Duty game.
In fact, we’ve all known about the existence of Call of Duty: Vanguard since almost March. But an interesting detail stands out in the trailer for the game, which was recently officially introduced. The name Activision was not used at any point in the trailer. Of course, that raises questions.
The trailer, which begins with the words “Call of Duty presents” and “a Sledgehammer Games production” and does not have the Activision logo, is noteworthy. The card at the end of last year’s Black Ops Cold War trailer shows Activision being replaced by the logo of Sledgehammer Games.
And why was this done? Former Kotaku Editor-in-Chief Stephen Totilo hadthe opportunity to talk to Activison about the issue . Activision said the idea of “bringing Vanguard’s new route to the forefront” was behind the move. So it has nothing to do with the cases….
The new Call of Duty game Vanguard will debut on November 5.
