Elden Ring is among the productions that resist discounting. The production, which was successfully released and had a good exit, does not stubbornly go into the discount if we talk about the past. Steam does not even go on sale during the Summer Sales, which were the strongest possibility for the price of the game to fall in the current period.
Those who are waiting for the Elden Ring to go on sale are sad
PCGamer’s game price research shows that it would actually happen if Elden Ring went on sale. Discount data for both the past and present on FromSoftware’s other games shows that they have followed a different policy in their latest games. In 2017, it was observed that AAA productions on Steam went at least 20-25% off almost 60 days after their release. However, Elden Ring has not been sold five cents below its full price for 125 days. The developer’s previous games, Sekiro and Dark Souls 3, were discounted by 20% and 25% in the summer sales of the year they were released.
When we look at the different producers, we can see that Deathloop has a 34% discount a little more than a month after it was released. Even Capcom, which we never expected, had a 25% discount for Resident Evil Village after 5 months. It looks like Elden Ring will surpass the record held by RE: Village. Because no matter which company it is, it will not sell its games at full price in summer discounts and then put them on sale.

It seems that Bandai Namco is happy with the sales of Elden Ring. For this reason, it does not need to discount the game and increase its sales figures.
