Seven years ago, Wild Sheep Studios announced a play called Wild. Introduced as PlayStation Exclusive, it’s been a while, and most of us have forgotten its name. That’s because we haven’t received any new information about the game in years, and that’s because production has been quietly cancelled.
That’s another Jeff Grubb hearing. VentureBeat’s renowned game reporter Grubb says Michel Ancel has also abandoned the project. The developer team is already busy with other projects.
Michel Ancel is a name we know very well; Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil are the first names that come to mind. Wild Sheep Studios, which he founded, would have been his first project, Wild, and in this survival game we would return to the early years of humanity and play a production that was intertwined with nature, but where we fought against both nature and humans.
Another new project from Ancel, Beyond Good & Evil 2, has been quiet for a long time. Ancel announced last year that he was leaving not only that project, but the gaming world alt-right.
