Minecraft’s Caves & Cliffs update brings with it plenty of new content. With update 1.17, the game will now host completely refurbished caves and will open a new chapter in mountain biomes and world diversity with updates of 1.18.
Mojang is still in the process of testing these new systems with “test updates”. These updates, which the developer calls “experimental snapshot”, will become refined with feedback from players and will be a full-fledged update. Thanks to these feedbacks, a new biome has been added to the game.
This biome will be called Stony Peaks. As you know, with the previous test update, the mountains grew in size and we got a new bioma called Snowy Peaks. The stone version of this will have stony peaks instead of snow. Thus, you will be able to see that the mountains extend parallel to the region you are in.
For update 1.18 to arrive, we’ll have to wait a while longer.
