An interesting advert with the theme “We’re As Far Away From Each Other as a Coke Bottle” inspired by Coca Coladan World Of Warcraft. However, the ad didn’t quite respond, given the comments below the video and the Like-Dislike ratio.
The video currently has about 800 likes and nearly 7,000 distilled. Wowhead, the World Of Warcraft-focused news site, compared the ad to Battle For Azeroth, a previous supplement fromWoW, suggesting there were some inspirations.
Coca Coladan World Of Warcraft Battle For Azeroth-inspired ad
The description text below the YouTube video of the Coca Cola ad reads:
” Discover the latest story coca cola tells. Witness a young player and a fearless warrior at the crossroads of the worlds give birth to a new dawn, change the course of history, and discover the meaning of True Magic.”
In the ad, the player who drops his opponent to the ground in the game reaches from the cupboard to the coke bottle, (yes, in the middle of the battle) after drinking the coke, decides to help his opponent, and at the end of the commercial they “make up.” Then, with a spell applied, the wasteland becomes green, lively land, and various publishers are astonished by this event. The whole game community is in shock at this.
We said coca coladan world of warcraft-inspired advertising, so where are the similarities?
The aforementioned ad, of course, doesn’t just carry wow breezes, there have been some who have mocked the video underneath the YouTube video as “Raid Shadow Legends ads have gone off the rails.” However, some of the frames used in the commercial video and the battleground are seriously reminiscent of some scenes from Battle For Azeroth.
The trailer shows one-on-one scenes from Battle For Azeroth’s “Cycle Of Hatred” themed opening cinematics, in which the character, who first resurrects the dying character after drinking a cola and then transitions into the game, looks at the battlefield. In addition, armor representing people on the battlefield resembles Alliance soldiers in the same cinematic way.
Coca Cola, which wants to appeal to players, doesn’t seem to have been very successful in getting a positive return. The website they opened for advertising is also inspired by the cover image of Battle For Azeroth
