More than five years after its launch, Microsoft is heralding Xbox Game Pass for Undertale. Starting today, the game is on its way to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S via Game Pass. Just like the PlayStation and Switch versions, the Xbox version of Undertale willbring console-specific content.
The Undertale Xbox Game Pass passenger also bundled up exclusive content
If you want to transfer your Undertale recordings from PC to Xbox, you won’t be able to do so. The main reason for this is that your Xbox version will have content that is not available on the PC. John Ricciardi writes on Xbox Wire:
“While the Xbox version provides a largely similar experience, it features several Xbox-specific enhancements designed to make it more comfortable for gamers on a home console. Due to these, the progress and registration data between the two versions is unfortunately not compatible. But this is also similar to previous console versions, where the Xbox version also has its own small … it means he owns the shrine.
The different versions released for Undertale have several minor differences, although they are largely the same game. For example, the PlayStation version includes a “Dog Shrine” where you can unlock most of the game’s trophies. The Switch version includes Mad Mew Mew, a different version of Dog Shrine that takes you into a new boss battle. For the Xbox version, as you can see in the trailer at the top, there are hints of a different version of Dog Shrine.
