Microsoft shared its third quarter reports for fiscal year 2021, covering 1 January 2021 to 31 March 2021.
Xbox, the company’s gaming division, generated total revenue of $3.53 billion in the quarter, up 50% from the same period the previous fiscal year.
Xbox content and services revenues, including first-party games and third-party games sales and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, grew 34% and Xbox hardware revenues, which included Xbox console sales, grew by 232% compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
Microsoft’s gaming division, Xbox, generated more than $5 billion in revenue between October and December last year, but had its third-best quarter compared with revenues from January to March in all years alone.
