XPG, which produces ready-made systems, components and peripherals for gamers, esports and tech enthusiasts, announced in a statement that the GAMMIX S70 PCIe Gen4 SSD has been awarded the D&i Award as part of COMPUTEX 2021, one of the world’s largest technology fairs. In addition to this award, the GAMMIX S70 previously won the 2021 Red Dot Design Excellence Award and the 2020 Golden Pin Design Award.
Using the next-generation PCIe Gen4 interface, the GAMMIX S70 is built for users who want the highest performance from their systems with up to 7400MB write per second and read speeds of up to 6400MB. It comes with the S70 XPG’s own design metal cooler to ensure it doesn’t compromise its high performance and works more reliably, even when under load for a long time. Thanks to its shape consisting of multiple floors in the form of terraces, the product has a larger surface area and can thus excret heat more quickly.
The Industrial Design Research Institute (ITRI) is organizing the 13th COMPUTEX d&i awards given by taiwan’s Foreign Trade Development Council (TAITRA) this year. Jurors from many different fields from venture capital managers to technology evaluate candidate companies within the framework of different criteria such as innovation, technology, usability, aesthetics and social responsibility.
