XPG, which produces ready-made systems, components and peripherals for gamers, esports and tech enthusiasts, announced today that its overclocking unit, xpg overclocking lab (XOCL), has managed to run the company’s upcoming next generation of DDR5 memory at 8188MT/s (megatransfer/second).
XPG also holds the first speed record in this field. In this way, XPG has proven its level of technical knowledge in memory module production and its ability to harness the full potential of DDR5 memory. The default clock speed of DDR5 memory used in the record attempt was 4800MT/s.
Founded in 2018 with the goal of pushing memory performance to its limits, XOCL has set many speed records with DDR4 memory in the past years.
XPG aims to introduce the next generation of DDR5 memory models, which will offer performance and capacity improvement, later this month.
