Adding To the Yakuza series, Ryu Ga Gotoku seems set to take the first step towards the start of a third series.
Masayoshi Yokoyama, the studio’s director, said in an interview with Famitsu that they are gearing up for a separate game from the Yakuza and Judgment series; “We’re working on a different game that we haven’t announced yet,” he says.
The sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon has been confirmed. The future of the Judgment series was uncertain due to a dispute with the agency of its lead actress Takuya Kimura. Yokoyama said in the Famitsu interview that “we will continue to feed the Judgment series”, adding that in a sense they have no intention of putting this series aside.
The fact that they’re going to add another IP to it must be good news for followers of both series. Let’s see when the announcement of this new game will come, what do you think it could be one of the games to be shown at TGA 2021?
