Magic: the Gathering, which has a huge pool of players around the world, last world championships were held this weekend. The tournament, which was attended by 16 of the most distinguished players, was the scene of great excitement from start to finish. Japanese player Yuta Takahashi, who had a nightmare start to the tournament at 0-3, left the tournament behind as champion at the end of the day. Paulo Vitor Damo Da Rosa(pictured) was one of the biggest surprises when he failed to make the final round of the tournament.
Ondrej Strasky of The Czech Army was the game that marked the tournament. Thanks to a 9-0 streak in the qualifying rounds, he made it from the top division to the final round, first to German opponent Jan Merkel; then to France’s Juan-Emmanuel Depraz. Depraz, who rose from the lower division, came second in the final with his unusual Temur Treasures deck, losing to Yuta once again.
The tournament, which was held through Magic: The Gathering Arena, was watched on Twitch and attracted a lot of attention. After the tournament, Arena players will probably start working on new decks. Because a large number of players have already started to create decks that catch their eye in the tournament, creativity and skill will come to the fore to respond to them. My favorite thing about a card game is to make a deck, so I’m already looking for answers to Yuta’s Izzet Dragons deck. May the heart of the cards be with you, dear Gamers, you will need in every game.
