Game development team Zachtronics will cease operations in late 2022 after the release of its last two games.
Speaking to Kotaku, studio founder Zach Barth said the team will disband after the team releases Last Call BBS, which will be released on July 5, and a solitaire-style game to be released later this year.
Zachtronics was founded in 2000 and is the developer of several notable indie games, including the games SpaceChem, TIS-100 and Eliza, which came out in 2011.
The studio previously closed once in 2015 but reopened some time later. We were told that this upcoming closure would be more permanent.
Barth said he was exchanging ideas about the future of himself and his team after the Zachtronics studio closed. In his message to Kotaku, he said that he is particularly interested in freelancing and side projects, as well as other staff are looking for better positions.
