While HyperX’s rats have been around for a while, let’s face it, Haste caught us out of where we weren’t working. At a time when “perforated mice” were becoming popular, Haste, which had a design that we could call a mixture of Zowie FK2 and Glorious Model O, and which greeted Zowie ZA with its high hump, was as good as we expected, as great as we expected. As such, the fact that HyperX decided to save this model from cables was reason enough for us to look forward to the product.
It’s my custom, I usually open the mouse review with the design part, but this time I’ll start with the technical side.
DPI Deviation issue and specifications
One of the differences that distinguishes Haste Wireless from Haste is the sensor (except for the cable). Although the PixArt PMW 3389 sensor used in the Haste is still an extremely powerful model, it is not one of the best options for wireless mice due to its high power consumption. In this respect, it makes sense to use the PixArt PAW 3335, which has similar performance values and “burns much less”. Supporting sensitivity up to 16000dpi, coming with high-end performance values such as 40G acceleration, 400 IPS speed (HyperX claims the speed is 450 IPS, but I’m a liar of PixArt) and 1000Hz polling rate, Haste Wireless started with full marks from this side.
The only annoyance here is the notorious, crazy ” DPI Deviation” values of the PAW 3335 sensor. What does that mean? I shake it off, if you’re used to gaming at 1000dpi and you’ve set that mouse to 1000dpi as well, it means the mouse can decide to work at 850 or 1150dpi. Unfortunately, 3335 is the king of this undesirable situation. Although it may vary slightly with each mouse, the mouse that deviated by 5% in wired mode (845dpi when it should have been 800) showed dpi deviation of close to 20% (965dpi instead of 800) in wireless mode, according to the Mouse Tester application. The solution is of course very simple; If you feel like the DPI isn’t keeping up with your setting, determine how much the deviation is, and then change the dpi to suit you (make it 700, for example over NGENUITY). This is the case with the 3335, which we love so much with its performance, low lift-off height (1.0-2.0mm) and low battery consumption, what should we do?

Other technical details
The mouse weighing 61 grams is not rich in RGB. As such, since the main goal is to extend the battery life, I think it is a positive design choice. The mouse, which has a minimal illumination, does not have RGB lighting except for the wheel. This has allowed HyperX to achieve a battery life of up to 100 hours on a single charge.
But is this value correct? Since I couldn’t find the notebook page I was logging on, I lost track of how many hours I used the mouse. But I can say this, Haste Wireless, where I have spent all my time for five days and played like crazy at night, still has 45% charge at the time of this writing. This is, quite clearly, one of the best battery endurance performances I’ve seen in gaming mice. Don’t worry, it’s a product that smells the charge.
So how are the keys? HyperX has used TTC’s 90 million keypress life (Golden Shell Black Dot), dustproof Golden Micro Dustproof 80M switches. These mechanical switches, which are a reworked, dustproof version of the TTC 30M, are not as light and precise as the TTC 60M’s. If you’re looking for keys that aren’t as “snappy” as 60M, that’s a little harder, it’s the right address. I think the 60M version will continue to be more popular, but these keys are also very enjoyable, they are among the best quality products on the market.
The only problem here is a critical design choice that HyperX has made, and the consequences that this has produced.
HyperX chose to put a rubber support between the mouse’s main keys when connecting them to the switches. Although there was no apparent problem, the mouse button soon began to feel like it was “glued to the floor” after hard presses. So I opened the mouse and looked at it, and noticed that the adhesive holding the rubber support in place melted a little and was reluctant to “release it back” the button. When I cleaned it with alcohol, the problem completely disappeared. Of course, not every mouse may have the same problem, but I’m not the only one with the problem. Considering the reason, I think it’s a problem that everyone has a chance to face. I hope HyperX will make an overhaul in this regard.
HyperX does not offer Bluetooth support in this wireless model. 2., which is a little bigger than its competitors.With the 4Ghz adapter, values such as 1ms connection latency have been reached. Frankly, I think the latency values between wireless and wired use are not noticeable even for professionals. The news is also good if you want to use the 1.9-meter-long paracord-like cable. This cable, which HyperX calls HyperFlex , is extremely flexible and connects to the mouse via a Type-C slot.
As for the design…
The Pulsefire Haste has its own unique design, a shape. Yes, it looks like many mice, we also mentioned the models above, but it has a completely different shape. The product size of 124 * 67 * 38mm is suitable for every grip and almost any hand size if your hand is not too small and you do not prefer the fingertip grip. With my own (mixed all) hybrid grip, I was as comfortable as if I had been using the mouse for years. Also the edges of the holes of the honeycomb-shaped design are beautifully shaved and there is no roughness or burr. The mouse can be turned on and off from the button at the bottom, and it is possible to place the receiver at the bottom.
It should be noted that the mouse has a symmetrical design, but it will be somewhat inefficient in left-handed people (since there is no button on the right side).
The main purpose of the matte black mouse (there is also the matte white option) is lightness, so I cannot say that it has a super touch feeling. On the other hand, do not let this fool you, the quality of workmanship is at a high level. When you shake the mouse, you don’t hear any clicking. Yes, there are no main keys and rattling even when there is a 2.4Ghz adapter inside. Although there is some swing (wobbling) in the main buttons, this is not at a level that can be felt in use. The best thing is that the mouse does not show any creaking signs even when you apply pressure with your hand. The function keys on the side also have no sponge effect, they are big enough and easy to reach even for those with small hands. Finally, the TTC White encoder used on the wheel is quite light and at the same time the transitions are noticeable enough, I like it very much.
As for software, NGENUITY hasn’t improved much over time and is still not super ergonomic. Fortunately, he’s much more well-intentioned about system resources than before. You can easily make all the necessary adjustments, but do not keep your expectations high.

Let’s come to the most pleasant details. HyperX has incorporated Virgin Grade PTFE skatezes into this model, and the glide sensations are extremely successful. You certainly won’t feel the need for a more professional set. Moreover, even though their thickness is sufficient, a second set of skatezs comes out of the box, which is a huge plus point.
The best part is that HyperX has put a set of grip tapes in the box. These grip-enhancing bands, which are attached to the mouse and leave no marks when removed, are as efficient as they look good. For my part, it was one of my favorite details about the mouse.
Result
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste Wireless is a great mouse with a few issues, so never think otherwise. It is a product that is very performant, very high quality and can meet everyone’s expectations. It has one of the best box contents I’ve ever seen and has a lot of remarkable details with its small mistakes that I think will be corrected. I tried to share it all with you.
One of the most beautiful aspects is the price that hovers at the level of 1100 TL despite all the features it offers. I think it’s at a very favorable level in the inflation environment that we’re in.
