Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) announced today that Yu-Gi-Oh! Announces the addition of two more legendary Duelists to CROSS DUEL. Iconic Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime characters Joey Wheeler and Mai Valentine are now in the game as Tag Duel partners – the power of friendship will overcome everything once again!
Players can unlock Joey and Mai to join the all-new single-player Tag Duel event and become Yu-Gi-Oh! they can open it by fighting their heroes in 2-player Duels. The new two-part event, “Joey’s Road to a True Duelist,” is now playable. Players battle it out alongside Joey to earn in-game rewards such as Game Mats, Card Cases, and Profile Icons featuring Joey and Mai in the event. The special event “Joey’s Road to a True Duelist” will last from today until 08:00 Turkey time on October 24.
Today’s update also brings new cards to the game, all of which can be obtained through the card draw. These include Joey Wheeler’s famous Ultra-Rare monster, the awe-inspiring Red-Eyes Black Dragon and other legendary Yu-Gi-Oh such as Baby Dragon, Time Wizard and Gearfried the Iron Knight! cards.
