Microsoft claims that Grand Theft Auto 6, the next big game in Rockstar Games’ long-running series, will come out in 2024. Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive have yet to announce an official release date for GTA 6. Microsoft reports that it expects the expected open-world game to be released by 2024.
The statement came as part of statements made with the competition board.
US-based technology company Microsoft is in a kind of war with the Sony front after the acquisition of Acitivison Blizzard. Microsoft is accused of being a monopoly and is under scrutiny by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
In line with all these events, Microsoft makes various statements (a 111-page statement) and the explanations include the release year of GTA 6. Microsoft reports that the new game of the GTA series, which is currently being officially developed, will debut in 2024.
On the other hand, GTA 5 sales have started to slow down after nine years. But it still continues to sell.
What will GTA 6 offer us?
Grand Theft Auto VI will be set in a fictional Miami area. This is a step towards making the game much bigger. In its infancy, the region was called Project Americas. Rockstar plans to constantly update Grand Theft Auto VI, regularly adding new missions and cities.
