Rise of the Ronin impressed the viewers with the trailer released
At today’s State of Play event, Rise of the Ronin was officially announced. The war, adventure and action-packed game, which is set in 1863, promises a lot to the players even with the trailer just released. The game, developed by Team Ninja, which left Koei Tecmo long ago, has been in development for about 7 years. A project that has been going on for so long has finally come to light and has been presented to the players in State of Play with the support of PlayStation.
Rise of the Ronin is a war-driven open-world action RPG set in Japan at a time of major change. The period in which the game is passed is the end of the 300-year EDO period known as “Bakumatsu”. We play the character of a Ronin (meaning Samurai who was left without a master between the 12th and 19th centuries) who makes his own decisions without depending on anyone in a period of repressive rule and deadly diseases.
Rise of the Ronin is a new Team Ninja experience that draws you into a world of historical inspiration, while combining the Katana, the famous combat action weapon, and new firearms that depict the era’s unique personality. This production is considered the most ambitious and challenging project for Team Ninja Studio to date.
