The game has sold more than four million in America and was the fastest selling switch (or any console) game in the country with this sales figure. The game also sold 2,24 million pcs in Japan.
Nintendo of America sales, marketing and vice president responsible for communication Devon Pritchard said about sales numbers in a press release: “Pek is returning to Hyrule to solve the new mystery of the player, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom together with a new adventure. With the record breaking output for Nintendo Switch, the game has a correct acceleration. Look forward to seeing what players will do in Hyrule.”
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom currently available for Switch. The standard version price of the game is 69.99.
